Just wanted to wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving and leave you with a few images of some of my greatest blessings!

Awww…

Ok, now that’s more like it ;)

Blessings to you and yours and Happy Thanksgiving!

Click…

Have you ever seen the Adam Sandler movie Click?  The movie is about a guy who goes out to buy a “universal remote”, most stores were closed so he goes to Bed, Bath, and Beyond.  In the “Way Beyond” :) section he meets an engineer that gives him a remote that meets the “universal” description.  Michael soon finds that this remote is much more than a channel surfer, but that it is, in fact, very “universal,” allowing him to fast forward through various life situations…

We are traveling overseas for Christmas this year so I needed to get a birth certificate for my daughter’s passport, which meant I needed to make a trip to downtown Seattle.  Let me just tell you that I have really begun to love Seattle.  When I first moved here I didn’t dare venture downtown by myself, coming from small town Moses Lake, this was a very. scary.  thought.  I was convinced that a trip downtown, by myself, would certainly end with my face on a milk carton (silly girl:).  After many years of avoiding milk cartons, I decided I could go it alone.

My Seattle lovin’ aside, the one thing I do loathe is the parking.  I spent 20 minutes searching for the “perfect” spot, the first spot I found was a tight space between a cement wall and a van, so my options were (a) scrape my van against the wall or (b) take out the vehicle that was parked way too close, no thanks.  Option #2 looked enticing until I got to the end of the lot and found there were no spots and no way to turn around to get out, I ended up driving over a curb into another lot to escape.  The next lot would have been fine except it was almost a mile away from where I was supposed to go and uphill pushing my daughter in a stroller, which also would have been fine except I was wearing heels (what was I thinking??).  Sooo we found a nice little lot, less than a quarter mile, plenty of parking, my “perfect” spot.  We headed to the admin building and got the certificate in no time, leaving me with an extra 45 minutes on my parking meter, so I did what any good photographer would do and improvised a mini photo session with my daughter.  I was able to get some fun shots and decided to head back to the car.  We got to the car, all was well, loaded up, buckled in, started backing out and CRASH!  Yes, that’s right, my overly cautious pursuit of the perfect parking spot was no match for my own driving skills!  I was so sick to my stomach, I have never been in an accident or even have as much as a ticket on my record (knock on wood) and somehow I managed to crash into a nonmoving object, genius!  I had no idea who the car owner was or where to find them so I left my info on their windshield and took pictures (good thing I had my camera!).  The damage, fortunately, was minimal, it is mostly a scrape, but I still can’t believe it happened!

I realize worse things could and do happen but rest assured, Christmas is around the corner and you better believe I will be eyeing the “Way beyond” section the day after Thanksgiving, so next time, all I have to do is…*click* ;)

Here are my favorites from our mini session today.  Enjoy :)

Pink is…

“…for girls and old men!”  The response I got from my five year old son when I asked him why he doesn’t like pink ;)  This little sweety wore it well, don’t ya think?
